Huhtamaki - Fulton recognized for work with local students

At the recent Partners for Education & Business Annual Awards Ceremony Huhtamaki Fulton received the Business of the Year Award in recognition of Huhtamaki Fulton’s dedication to preparing students for future success.

 

The Fulton location plans wide variety of activities including informational sessions about Huhtamaki in the community, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) events, numerous plant tours for local middle school and high school students, supports vocational training and secondary education programs and facilitates many job shadow events.

 

This award also recognizes Huhtamaki Fulton’s efforts as one of the founding Industry Partners for the Oswego County P-Tech (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) program. The Oswego County P-Tech program is a High School for students entering the 9th grade who are interested in a STEM career and after successful completion of the program, they receive an Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

 

Huhtamaki employees are actively engaged as student mentors, members of the P-Tech Governance Team, industry experts for curriculum development, as well as members of the P-TECH Student Interview panels.
