In your town

We recognize that our communities strengthen when we work as a team to build commonalities and support the causes that are essential for community health and vitality. One of our core values is to treat our world with respect. That means caring about each other, the environment and the communities where we do business.

We take great pride in the communities where we work. That's the focus of our community outreach. This page highlights our activities and the difference they make.

Habitat for Humanity house takes shape in Waterville

Huhtamaki - Waterville employees, in conjunction with USW Local 449, worked together on a project for the Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity. What began as a concrete slab quickly transformed into the completed frame of what will become a three-bedroom, one bath contemporary house built especially for a single parent and her two children.

Established in 2001, the Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity is a locally-managed affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. The Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity mission is to enhance our community by helping qualified families to become independent owners of decent, affordable homes. The local Habitat for Humanity serves Maine communities in Albion, Belgrade, Benton, China, Clinton, Fairfield, Oakland, Rome, Smithfield, Unity, Vassalboro, Waterville and Winslow.

Congratulations to the team on a job well done!
