We recognize that our communities strengthen when we work as a team to build commonalities and support the causes that are essential for community health and vitality. One of our core values is to treat our world with respect. That means caring about each other, the environment and the communities where we do business.

We take great pride in the communities where we work. That's the focus of our community outreach. This page highlights our activities and the difference they make.

Sacramento Habitat for Humanity project moves forward with “sweat equity”

Sacramento employees contributed a full day of sweat equity to the Avenues Project in South Sacramento. The project is the second largest multi-unit development in Habitat’s 30-year history and sits on land donated by the Sacramento Housing Redevelopment Agency (SHRA).

The team worked side-by-side with recipients of the homes to build concrete forms for the foundation. Last year the Sacramento team contributed to building a fence for the project.

The Habitat for Humanity project not only provides affordable home ownership opportunities for those in need, but also contributes to the redevelopment of underserved communities in the Sacramento area.

The Sacramento team plans to return to the worksite for some rough carpentry work on the development in in September.

Sacramento has added several new employees this year and this was a terrific opportunity to build bonds together while strengthening the community.
