Huhtamaki - Franklin receives Industry of the Year Award

Each year the Franklin (OH) Chamber of Commerce recognizes a local business with their Industry of the Year Award to honor a business that makes significant contributions to the city through business expansion and community outreach. This year, Huhtamaki’s Franklin facility received this special award.

“Taking care of our employees first and supporting the community is always something we want to do here,” Bill Bausmith said. “This award validates everything we’ve been doing for many years and we plan to do even more.”

Huhtamaki-Franklin gave back to the community in a big way by donating cameras to the Franklin Police Department and working with developmentally disabled individuals at Production Services Unlimited, Inc. This is in addition to support for the Atrium Medical Center, the American Heart Association and the Franklin High School After Prom program.

Franklin employees are also currently celebrating more than 667 without a recordable or lost-time incident, making them one of the safest facilities in all of Huhtamaki.

According to the award letter sent from the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, Huhtamaki-Franklin was recognized for its steady presence, its investment in employees and the many ways it gives back to the Franklin community.

The award will be officially presented at a ceremony on June 8.
