We recognize that our communities strengthen when we work as a team to build commonalities and support the causes that are essential for community health and vitality. One of our core values is to treat our world with respect. That means caring about each other, the environment and the communities where we do business.

We take great pride in the communities where we work. That's the focus of our community outreach. This page highlights our activities and the difference they make.

Marion employees plant a garden and help beautify the St. Martin Community Center

Huhtamaki-Marion employees converged on the St. Martin Community Center with a pair of big projects in mind.

First, they worked to plant a garden that will provide great tasting, nutritious meals to families in need. The garden will grow tomatoes, green beans, onions, collard greens, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, many herbs and much more. This is a sustainable food source for the center’s food pantry and provides a learning environment for local children.

Secondly, the volunteers helped to beautify the front of the building by removing old plants, pruning planting new rose bushes and hostas, as well as new planters near the front doors. When they were finished, they spread three truckloads of mulch in the plant beds.

A big thank you goes out to Huhtamaki employees Shelly Hogge, Ejuan Sabatino, Demi Persons, Nick Curtis, Kristi Pulley, Lisa Bradford, Kim Newcomer, Sheila Schrameck, Jennifer Trevino, and Holly Lester.
